What did you think of all the equipment that Kodak had at the show in Chicago? _________________ 'No silicon heaven'? Where would all of the calculators go?" |

I thought it was a great idea. No equipment.
Seriously, it was nice to be able to not see all that wasted paper.
It was different, but cool booth with the surface like tables and the interactivity.
I heard a few people grumbling about not being able to see a Digimaster or Nexpress but schedule a demo with a sales person from Kodak.
I loved the K-Zone and streaming on YouTube as well.
Would have been nice to see virtual interactive models of each press, but that would take a lot of time.
I think when you take into consideration all the costs vendors have to do to truck all that equipment in, set up and take down, it is a huge cost.
Now I only hope Kodak passes on some of that cost savings on to us _________________ Patrick Stuart | Today in Print Podcast |

I was not able to go because we were too busy printing. Can't complain about that.
That is odd that they did not have the new SE3600 NexPress there. My FE told me he was flying out to install it. But he also said if he gets busy he can't go and I know a lot of the NexPresses around here are doing a lot of printing. And a lot of printing = a lot of broken NexPresses.
